Mrs. Lynn Elaine Sargent Hampton, age 90, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born on November 11, 1922, in Polk County, Georgia to Gus Sargent and Maggie Wright Sargent.

Mrs. Hampton is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Carole & David Johnson; grandson, David J. Johnson; and granddaughter, Dana Hampton.

Mrs. Hampton is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles E. Hampton; son, Buddy Hampton; and sister, Elizabeth Port.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Lynn Elaine Hampton will be conducted on Monday, March 11, 2013 at two o'clock in the afternoon at New Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. DeWayne New officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Hampton will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Doug Elkins, Jerry Bishop, Tom Whiteaker, Ted Smith, Rick Duvall, and Grady McCrickard will serve as Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the New Harmony Baptist Church in honor of Mrs. Lynn Elaine Hampton.
