Mr. Lucious "Cline" Henry, age 89, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009. He was born November 25, 1919 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Mr. Henry was a decorated war veteran as a member of the 3rd Army. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his courageous actions in the European Theatre in World War II .

He was a dedicated member of Mountain Home Baptist Church and a retiree of General Motors after twenty-eight years of service.

Mr. Henry is preceded in death by parents, Lucious Patrick and Mary Rice Henry; three sisters, three brothers, and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Mr. Henry is survived by wife of 58 years, Martha Jean Duncan Henry. Other survivors are Dennis and Ruth Duncan, Shawne Fields and Family; Sister-in-law, Vivian Jewell Lloyd; Nephew, Terry Joe Lloyd and Family; Special Friends, Ronnie and Donna Beck and Family. Also surviving are numerous Nieces and Nephews and his beloved dog, Sport.

The funeral for Mr. Lucious "Cline" Henry will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Home Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating. Mr. Henry will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
The family will receive friends during this time.

Interment will be in Mountain Home Church Cemetery. The Brewster-Cleveland Post #86 of the American Legion Honor Guard will present full military rites.

Pallbearers are Thomas Ingram, James Edge, Jamie Beck, Ronnie Beck, Danny Beck, Jonathan Blackmon, Mike Hooper, and Lewis Beck.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Mountain Home Church Adult Men's Sunday School Class.

Flowers are being accepted, however, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Home Baptist Church Building Fund, 165 Mountain Home Loop, Cedartown, GA 30125.

The Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Lucious "Cline" Henry.
