Obituary

Mrs. Lovella Emeline Grimes, age 86, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at her residence.

She was born in Cleburne County, Alabama on December 21, 1920 the daughter of Jewett Benjamin and Eddie Lou Bailey Stephens.

She is preceded in death by parents; a daughter, Virginia Louise Grimes; a son, Billy Lee Grimes; sisters, Evie Stephens, Flora Brannan, and Ethel Crumbley; brothers, Elbert Stephens, Thelbert Stephens, J. D. Stephens and Fred Stephens; and a granddaughter, Lisa Grimes Heath.

Surviving family members include her husband of sixty-eight years, Mr. Charles Elmer Grimes; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Hutcheson and Ralph Hutcheson, Susan Hulsey and Cecil Hulsey; sons and daughters-in-law, Allen Grimes and Sylvia Grimes, Dennis Grimes and Diane Grimes; daughter-in-law, Carolyne Grimes; sisters, Mildred Wells, Evelyn Forrister, Tilda Payne, Arzell Blankenship and Zellar Brannan. Six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lovella Grimes will be conducted on Saturday, September 15 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Pyles officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Winfred Brannan, Michael Brannan, Wayne Brannan, Joey Payne, Freddie Hulsey, and Adam Hulsey.

Honorary Pallbearers are her Grandsons, Barry Hutcheson, Chris Grimes and Ray Woods.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for
Mrs. Lovella Emeline Grimes.
