Ms. Louise McKibben Tanner, age 95 of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She was born on March 1, 1918 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John T. McKibben and Mrs. Luna Isbell McKibben.
Ms. Tanner is survived by her son, Phil Tanner; one grandchild, Michael Tanner; three great-great grandchildren, Ensley, Jacob and Noah Tanner and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Ms. Tanner is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Tanner; son, Harry Tanner; sisters, Florine Gary, Willie B. Dingler, Annie Wilson and Evelyn Godwin and brother, Buell McKibben.
The funeral arrangements for Ms. Tanner will be conducted on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Pine Bower Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Kiser officiating and Mr. Michael Tanner will be giving an eulogy. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow in the Pine Bower Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Ms. Tanner will receive family and friends on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Jerry McKibben, John Godwin, Tommy Prewett, Jeffrey Vaughn, Keith Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, and Kevin Prewett. Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Dingler and Gary Prewett.
