Ms. Louise Payne, age 88, of Cedartown, formerly of Bradley County, Tennessee passed away November 1, 2010. She was born on December 4, 1922 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee and Emma Jane Brown Varnell, Sr.

Ms. Payne is survived by a son, James L. Payne, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Dean Holder; one sister, Eulene Hickman and 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and several great- great grandchildren.

Ms. Payne is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee and Emma Jane Brown Varnell, Sr.; husband, James Luther Payne, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Jean Sharpe and a number of brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be conducted for Ms. Payne on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at one o'clock in the afternoon in Cleveland, Tennessee at the Hayes Shedd Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Fox officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hayes Shedd Cemetery.
