Ms. Louise Mims Brock, age 83, of Hickory, North Carolina, formally of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, August 03, 2010. She was born on April 2, 1927, the daughter of Virgil Graham and Irene Chappell Mims, Sr.

Ms. Louise Mims Brock was employed at Ford Motor Company dealerships in Cedartown for over 45 years, where she particularly enjoyed meeting the public. She also participated in many civic activities over the years.

Ms. Louise Mims Brock is survived by son and daughter- in law, Thomas E. "Jabby" and Becky Vincent Brock, Jr.; five brothers, V.G. Mims, Jr., William J. Mims, C. Eugene Mims, Charles H. Mims and R. Douglas Mims; grand-daughters, Leigh and Amy Brock Jones and husband Ben Jones.

Ms. Louise Mims Brock is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Graham and Irene Chappell Mims, Sr.; husband, Thomas E. Brock.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 12pm (noon) at the Greenwood Cemetery with the Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for 10 o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted; however, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 339 2nd Avenue NW, Hickory, NC 28601 or First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 101 North College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125.
