Mrs. Lillian Ophelia Parris, age 94, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2006. She was born September 15, 1911 in Polk County.
Mrs. Parris is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary Agnes Hampton; husband, William Hoyt Parris; sons, William Walter Parris and James Loyd Parris; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; seven brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Ophelia Parris is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Pat Parris, Rev. Roger and Lynn Parris; daughter, Joyce Shuman; daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Jack Berry, Fay and Robert Rudeseal, Carolyn and Gene Speicher, Reba and Ray Swafford, Cathy and Jimmy Ogle; sisters, Dorothy Landers and Pauline Runyon; twenty-three grandchildren, seventy-two great and great-great grandchildren. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mrs. Ophelia Parris will be conducted on Sunday, January 15th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Wood and Rev. Hoyt Lewis officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14th from
4:00 – 8:00 PM at Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Grandsons: Mike Shuman, Tony Rudeseal, Jackie Berry, David Stephenson, Greg Parris and Stephen Ogle.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy Berry, Keith Shuman, Steven Shuman, Chris Shuman, Dale Stephenson, Donnie Stephenson, Jamie Ogle, and Johnny Parris.
