Mrs. Lillian Lucille Johnson McElwee, age 96, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on February, 11, 2009. She was born November 24, 1912 in Polk County, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by husband, William Thomas McElwee, Sr.; parents, Andrew and Alma Johnson; daughter, Betty Ann McElwee.

Mrs. Lillian Lucille McElwee is survived by children, John Kenneth and wife, Asta McElwee, William Thomas "Tommy" and wife, Jeanette McElwee, Joan Elizabeth and husband, Donald Shumate, James Terry McElwee; sisters, Catherine Williams and Helen Head. Twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lillian Lucille McElwee will be conducted on Friday, February 13th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Buttrum officiating. The interment will follow in the family lot at Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mrs. McElwee's Grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
