Mr. Leslie "Nelson" Hopper, age 65 passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was born on November 6, 1948 in Akron, Ohio. He was the son of the late Leslie Reed Hopper and Mary Jane Yancey Hopper.

For anyone who ever knew of Nelson, he was such a kind hearted man. He never held a grudge and never met a stranger! Nelson loved baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He could walk up to anyone and recite their birthday to them and loved to be a part of the birthday club each and every morning on the WGAA.

Mr. Hopper is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn Bunn and Chuck and Shirley Jane Kohl and Bob and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mr. Hopper's wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Hopper will be conducted on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

The family of Mr. Hopper will receive family and friends on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adult One Co-Ed Sunday School Class.

Flowers are to be omitted and memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown Memorial Fund, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125.
