Mr. Leo Paul Couzzort, age 85, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. He was born on January 07, 1928 in Polk County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Tom Couzzort and Evie Welchel Couzzort.

Mr. Couzzort is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Kelley Couzzort; children, LeAnn Roesler (Marquez Chubb), Darren Wright (Becky), and Kerri Ellis (Mark); sister, Edna Brown; grandchildren, Jack Roesler, Kayli Lewis, Anna Wright, Shelbi Lewis, Jesse Wright, and soon to be born, Brayden Lee Chubb; great grandchild, Grayson Earwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Couzzort is preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Gail Couzzort; sisters, Emma Clairs Reeves and Evelyn Crabb; brothers, James Couzzort, Earnest Couzzort, and Willie Couzzort.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in the Sanctuary. Rev. Danny Tucker and Rev. Earl Partain, Sr. will be officiating the service. Mr. Couzzort will be lying in state for one hour before the service.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Gammage Funeral Home.

The interment will be in Bellview Cemetery, in Rockmart.

The following men will serve as pallbearers, Barry Cook, Denny Couzzort, Tim Brown, Carl Redding, Tim Lewis, and Tom McClure. The Deacons of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Brenda Stephens, Glenda Camp, and Barbara Trippe will serve as honorary pallbearers.

As Leo would say, "He's mine and I'm His'n and I won't change."
