Ms. Lassie Moreland Burfield, age 58 of Cedartown, formerly of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014. She was born on July 8, 1956 in Indiana. She was the daughter of Mr. Moreland and Mrs. Sara Ballard Moreland.

Ms. Burfield is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lawanda Noel and Ray; sister, LaNell Hopper; brothers, James Moreland and Kenneth Moreland and two grandchildren, Kirsten Schabert and Brandi Currey.

Ms. Burfield is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Robert Burfield; son, Edward Robert Burfield, Jr.; sister, Sandra Moreland and brothers, Rodger Moreland and Timmy Moreland.

In keeping with Ms. Burfield's wishes she was cremated.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
