Mr. Larry Rudy Wood, age 69, of Cedartown passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 22, 2008. He was born August 31, 1939 in Polk County, GA.

Family survivors include mother, Lucile Weaver Wood; wife, June Knott Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie Wood Wills & George Wills; brothers, Bobby Wood, Donnie Wood, and Benny Wood; brother-in-law, Ronnie Knott; and granddaughter, Darian Paris. Mr. Wood is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his father, Mr. James Luther Wood; sister, Myra Rentz; and brother, Ollin Wood.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Anna Kresge United Methodist Church.

The funeral service for Mr. Larry Rudolph "Rudy" Wood will be conducted on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church with Mr. Jesse Clements and Rev. Rebecca Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Chris Wood, Greg Wood, Jeff Westbrook, Barry Wood, Kevin Wood, and Tony Wood will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Phil Smith, Brad East, Joey Crawford, Todd Williams, Jimmy Paris, and David East.

Flowers are accepted; however, donations in Mr. Wood's memory may be made to: Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 15 Booger Hollow Rd., Cedartown, GA 30125.
