Mr. Lamar Neal Rushing, age 71, of Cedartown passed away November 13, 2012. He was born February 1, 1941, the son of the late Eugene Davis Rushing and Eva Juanita Childers Rushing.
Mr. Rushing was a 1959 graduate of Cedartown High School and retired from the Ford Motor Company. Upon retirement he was employed as a security guard at A T & T. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Pamela Jean Rushing, and brother, Steven Rushing.
Mr. Rushing is survived by wife, Donna Gail Reeves Rushing; daughters, Tammy Rushing, Patricia Rushing Causey and husband Travis; sisters, Gloria Harpe. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kenneth and Megan Causey, Kyle Causey, Kody and Alicia Causey, Konnor Causey; 3 great grandchildren, Hailey Causey, Colton Causey and Jackson Causey; several nieces and nephews.
According to his wishes he was cremated. The memorial service for Mr. Lamar Neal Rushing will be conducted on Thursday, November 15th at 12 noon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m.– 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
