Mrs. Lacey Denise Watkins, age 25, of Cartersville formerly of Cedartown passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010. She was born June 22, 1984 in Rome, Georgia, the daughter of Wayland Jackson & Dawn Bryan Jackson.
Mrs. Watkins is preceded in death by sister, Amber Elizabeth Jackson; grandparents, Opal Jackson, Larry Bryan, Sewell Watkins, Miriam Watkins, and Don Shellnut; brother-in-law, Daniel Watkins, and uncle, Richard Jackson.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by husband, Joseph Van Watkins; daughters, Taylor Elaine Watkins and Nicole Faith Watkins; parents, Wayland Jackson and Andrea Dawn Jackson; sister, Joni Lynn Jackson; parents-in-law, Phillip and Linda Watkins; grandparent, Margaret Shellnut; great-grandparents, William H. Kennihan and Joan Kennihan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Deborah Watkins Cannon, Kristin Watkins, Douglas Watkins, Keith Watkins, Kenneth Watkins, Joshua Watkins, and Johnathan Watkins; aunts and uncles, Diona Meck, Marvin "Butch" Jackson, Jimmy Dingler, Lynn Jackson. Many cousins also survive.
The funeral mass for Mrs. Watkins will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Sulley and Mr. Jason Slaughter officiating.
Entombment will be in Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Douglas Watkins, Kenneth Watkins, Phillip Watkins, Roy Lee Mitchell, Greg Peconia, and Marvin "Butch" Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
