Mr. Kermit Buchanon, age 78, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. He was born on February 9, 1932 in Scottsville, Kentucky, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ruby Ottis and Permie Ethel Taylor Buchanon.

Mr. Buchanon was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Buchanon is survived by his sons, Phillip Buchanon and Lance Buchanon (Beth); three grandchildren, Tiffany Shamlee, Michael Shamlee and Michelle Pirkle and 5 great-grandchildren, Jessica Bivens, Heather Bivens, Noah Shamlee, Marissa Pirkle and Nikole Pirkle.

Mr. Buchanon is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruby Ottis and Permie Ethel Taylor Buchanon ; wife, Rosemary Eileen Gibbs Buchanon; son, Grey Buchanon and three daughters.

The funeral service for Mr. Buchanon will be conducted on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the TW Crow and Sons Funeral Home, 201 North Court Street, Scottsville, KY 42164.

The family of Mr. Buchanon will receive friends on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the TW Crow Funeral Home.

Interment will follow immediately after the service in the Dorham Springs Cemetery.
