Mr. Kenneth Neal Hackney, age 70, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011. He was born on April 12, 1941 in Cedartown; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis & Florence Wray Hackney.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Jane Davis Hackney; sister, Helen Hackney; and parents.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Martin West; grandchildren, Josh Kirkpatrick, Betenia Faith West, Simon West, and Oliver West; sisters, Shelia Rabun & Nancy McLendon; and brother, Stanley Hackney.

The funeral for Mr. Kenneth Hackney will be conducted on Monday, July 11, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Joe Rabun, Glenn Mitchell, Olin Hackney, Jimmy McLendon, Kelly McLendon, Ron Ray, Jim Mayben and Rodney Saucier.
