Mr. Keith D Robinson, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2018. He was born on March 30, 1929 in Midland, Michigan to the late Floyd and Dorothy Robinson. Keith was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 61 years, Margaret Rose Gillespie Robinson and his son, Mark.
Keith worked for Goodyear in Akron, OH then Rockmart, GA for 39 years through all the name changes and ultimately retired from Loral Corp. in 1989. Throughout his years at Goodyear he was privileged to develop many patents improving both the racing and aerospace industries. Keith was an avid golfer and loved camping and fishing. He was actively involved with the First United Methodist Church serving many roles within the church over the years. He instilled in his children their responsibility for an honest work ethic, the love of Jesus, a sense of morality and the rewards of a life well-lived. Keith was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Keith is survived by his two brothers; Dean Robinson (Charlotte) and Duane Robinson (Caroline) both of Midland, MI; his daughters and son; Pamela Smith (Dee) Ypsilanti, MI, Deborah Gardner (Robert) Cedartown, GA, Lee Ann Dempsey (David) Rome, GA and Brian Keith Robinson (Michelle) Chester, UK; Seven grandchildren; Mark Dempsey (Melissa), Tiffany Dempsey des Cognets (James), Victoria Gardner, Rob Gardner, Margaret Gardner, Graham Robinson, Benjamin Robinson and one great-grandson Archer des Cognets.
A Celebration of life service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 201 Wissahickon Ave., Cedartown, GA on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am before the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Cedartown.
