Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Hampton Maiden, age 80, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010. She was born in Floyd County on April 3, 1929, the daughter of the late Clifford Hampton and Gertrude Knight Hampton. She is also preceded in death by husband, Reed "Chief" Maiden; sisters, Evelyn Lamb and Ann Burkhalter; brothers, Thomas Hampton, William Hampton, and James J. Hampton.

Mrs. Maiden is survived by son, Wayne Reed Maiden, Sr.; grandchildren, Wayne Reed Maiden II, Allyson Maiden, Tyler Maiden and Dillon Maiden; brother, Julius Hampton. Great-grandchildren, Hayley Maiden, Lauren Maiden, Reed Maiden and Kail Maiden also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Hampton Maiden will be conducted on Wednesday, January 27th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Parris and Rev. Keith Powers officiating.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Pinky Knight, Bobby Burkhalter, Ronnie Burkhalter, Dennis Burkhalter, Corey Bradshaw, Tyler Maiden and Dillon Maiden.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26th, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
