Ms. Karen Short Bridges, age 47, of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012. She was born in Rome and was employed by Floyd Behavioral Health Center as a Registered Nurse.

Ms. Bridges is survived by parents, Henry and Eva Ruth Short; daughter, Kayla Bridges; son, Matt Bridges; brothers, Eddie Short, John Short, Brad Short. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with Karen's wishes, she was cremated. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9th, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Flowers are to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Animal Shelter, 1215 Veal St., Cedartown, GA 30125.
