Mr. J.W. "Bill" James, age 68, of Cedartown passed away July 21, 2006. He was born on August 24, 1937 in Cherokee County, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by parents, Glenny James and Mary Magaline Matney James; daughter, Kathy Darleen James; son, Roy Dale James and sister, Joan Pruitt.

Mr. James is survived by his wife, Katherine Lee Fincher James; daughters, Debra Daniel, Gail Daniel and Sherry Jarrell; sons, Michael James and Billy Joe James. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, July 23rd at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tino Rivera and Rev. Jimmy Powell. Interment will follow in Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22nd from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Johnny Johnson, Adam James, Jessie Daniel, Lamar Jarrell, Jason Daniel and Brandon James. Jamie Pruitt is an honorary pallbearer.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mr. J.W. "Bill" James.
