Mr. Julius Clifford Hampton, age 80, of Cedartown passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. He was born February 18, 1931 in Polk County.

He is preceded in death by parents, Clifford Hampton and Gertrude Knight Hampton; sisters, Evelyn Lamb, Ann Burkhalter Sparks, Katherine Maiden; brothers, William Hampton, James Hampton, Thomas Hampton; grandparents, Robert and Ada Bell Knight and Benjamin and Agnes Hampton.

Mr. Hampton is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Julius Hampton will be conducted on Saturday, March 24th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Powers officiating. The interment will be in Oakgrove Church Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 23rd, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Josh Burkhalter, Wayne Maiden, Jr., Corey Bradshaw, Tyler Maiden, Dylan Maiden, and Reed Runyon.

Flowers are being accepted; however, memorial contributions may be made to Heyman Hospicecare at Floyd; P. O. Box 163, Rome, GA 30162-0163.
