Mrs. Julia Gaynell Willis West, age 83, of Cedartown and formerly of Smyrna, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008. She was born March 26, 1925 in Paulding County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Bruce Willis and Grace Langley Willis.

Family survivors include daughters, Vondale DeRico of Sun City Center, FL, and June Moore of Edgewater, FL; son, Charles Gregory West of Cedartown, Eight Grandchildren, Jeff, Lynne, Lesley, Jamie, Erica, Shawn, C.J., & Jessica; many Great Grandchildren, Jacob, Kendall, Sydney, Nicholas, Steven, Little Charlie, Cooper, Cameron, Brooke, & Caden; and sisters, Ruth Glenn, Pluma Bates, and Jerry Fallon.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Joe West, and her parents.

The funeral service for Mrs. Julia West will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Bower Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are David McElwee, Dennis Blankenship, Steve Baldwin, Jon Zuker, Ben Ball, Tab Andrews, and Patrick Dizon.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 28, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
