Mr. Jud Decalb Wheeler, age 91, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008.
He was born November 1, 1916 in Esom Hill, Georgia.
Mr. Wheeler was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II. He was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church. Before retiring Mr. Wheeler was co-owner of McBrayer Furniture Store.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Wheeler and his parents, William W. Wheeler and Etta Kerr Wheeler.
Family members surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bill Reichert of Altus, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Betty Wheeler of Cedartown. Six grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Jud Decalb Wheeler will be conducted on Saturday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m. at chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Connor officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
