Mr. Johnny P. Barnett, age 69, of Cedartown, GA passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009. He was born August 31, 1940 in Polk County, GA.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his daughters, Sheena Oliver, Starr Merritt; daughter and son-in-law, Shayne and Lance Green; son, Clint Barnett. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kortnee Beck Hazlewood, Kaila Oliver Ford, Zach Merritt, Caitlin Merritt, Maris Green, Levin Green; great-grandchildren, Justin Payton, Jonathan Hazlewood, Will Hazlewood, Jarrett Hazlewood, Miranda Ford, Maddison Ford.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Earl Barnett, Sr. and Ruby Estelle Welchel Barnett; and brothers, Raymond Earl Barnett, Jr. "Junior" and Varnell Barnett.

Funeral service for Mr. Johnny P. Barnett will be conducted on Friday, September 25, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis, Jr. and Rev. Jeff Pilgrim officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.

Lance Green, Jason Hazlewood, Tobias Ford, Zach Merritt, Mark Brady, and Randy Smith will be serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 24, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
