Mr. John Ira Stone, age 67 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born on October 28, 1948 in Trenton, Georgia/DeKalb, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Ira C. Stone and Mrs. Sarah Liddell Golden Stone; daughters, Tiffany Deanna Stone and Mellie Leigh Stone; sister, Mazell Rogers; and a brother, Donnie Sasser.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Cash Stone; children, Marla Nicole Bray (Marty), Johnathan Stone (Brooke) and Ashley Ivelyn Stone; grandchildren, Heather Bray, Haley Bray, Whitney Bray, Eliza Stone, Carson Stone and Kinsley Stone; sister, Rachel Atchley; brothers, Steve Rogers, Eddie Crawford, Denny Stamps, and Mark Schelter.

A funeral service for Mr. Stone will be conducted on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at five o'clock in the evening at the First Baptist Church in Cedartown with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

The family of Mr. Stone will receive family and friends on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 2:00 pm until the funeral service hour at the First Baptist Church.

House plant type flowers will be accepted and donations can be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Heyman Hospice.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. John Ira Stone.
