Mr. John L. Mobbs, age 77 of Esom Hill, passed away on Wednesday,
February 21, 2018. He was born on February 10, 1941 in Rome, Georgia.

He was the son of the late Ralph Duncan Mobbs and Lela Angeline Nixon Mobbs.

Mr. Mobbs is survived by his wife, Frances McWhorter Mobbs; daughters,Polly Mobbs Hopkins (Stanley) and Pamela Mobbs O'Neal (Tracy); son,Kevin Lee Mobbs (Selena); grandchildren, Kayland Carol Hopkins,Ethan N. O'Neal and Dixie Lela Mobbs; sisters, Margie O'Neal, JoAnn Gable(Billy) and Patricia Cannon (Noel); brothers, Marvin Mobbs (Faye) and Houston (Beatrice) Mobbs; Sister-in-Laws, Bobbie Mobbs, and Irene Welchel, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mobbs is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene Hill,Josephine Ingram and Edith Kines brothers, Harvey Lee Mobbs and Robert J. Mobbs; brothers-in-law Henry O'Neal, Buck Ingram, Herman Hill, Grady Kines, Bobby Early, and Robert Welchel; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Earley.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. John L. Mobbs will be held on Sunday,February 25, 2018 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Mobbs will receive family and friends on Saturday,February 24, 2018 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Kevin Mobbs, Dixie Lela
Mobbs, Ethan N. O'Neal, Stanley Hopkins, Todd Hice and Gerrik Gable. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. Mobbs' nieces and nephews.
