Mr. John Lawson Ford, Jr., age 70, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was born on June 15, 1941 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. John Lawson and Ethel Irene Gossit Ford, Sr.

Mr. Ford is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Doris Ford; brother-in-law, Floyd Lockridge and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ford is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn Marie Woods Ford and sister, Frances Lockridge.

In keeping with Mr. Ford's wishes his was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Ford will be conducted on Friday, March 9, 2012 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Dabbs officiating.

The family is not accepting flowers; however, memorial donations can be made to the Autism Fund of Will Dabbs at the Antioch Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 3923 Antioch Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.
