Mr. John Franklin Cheatwood, age 83 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born on February 15, 1934 in Cedartown. He was the son of the late Ralph and Jenny McKibben Cheatwood.
Mr. Cheatwood is survived by his son, Don R. Cheatwood; brother, Marvin Cheatwood; grandson, Craig Cheatwood (Betsy); great-granddaughter, Nova Rayne Cheatwood and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cheatwood is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elma Jo Ingram Cheatwood; sister, Louise Wood and brother, Ralph Cheatwood, Jr.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. John Franklin Cheatwood will be conducted on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard.
The family of Mr. Cheatwood will receive family and friends on Friday, April 14, 2017 from five o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Donnie McKibben, Zack McKibben, Ricky McKibben, Jimmy McKibben, Todd McCray and Scott McCray.
