Mrs. JoAnn Dean Ball, age 84, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009. She was born December 29, 1924 in Polk County

She is preceded in death by husband, Maj. Ret. Derrell M. Ball; son, Thomas Duke Ball; parents, Thomas and Julia Davis Dean; sisters, Christie Krawmer and Emma Lee Dawson; brother, Charles Dean.

Mrs. JoAnn Ball is survived by children, Ann Derrelle Allen, Derrell M. Ball, Jr., Julia Kate Ridings, and Stacey Leigh McCrimmon. One brother, Tom Dean; Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson also survive.

The funeral for Mrs. JoAnn Dean Ball will be conducted on Thursday, December 17th, at 1:00 p.m. at the West Avenue Church of God with Rev. James Cordell officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral hour.

Interment will be in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Michael Joseph Ridings, Jeffrey Tyler Ridings, Christopher Perry McCrimmon, Matthew Alan McCrimmon, Michael Sean Lavine, and Nelson John Dubrue II.
