Mrs. Jewel King, Age 97, of Cedartown, formerly of Summerville, Georgia and Albany, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2005. She was born on April 11, 1908 to the late Samuel and Eula Tomlinson. Mrs. King was the widow of Charles King.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Milton Hart; a daughter, Christine Odom; a sister, Odessa Floyd and a brother, Talmadge Tomlinson.
Mrs. King is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robert Busby of Cedartown; a son and his wife, Eugene and Teresa King of Dallas; a granddaughter and her husband, Cindy and David Vogel of Cedartown; a grandson and his wife, Shane and Sara Nix of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a grandson and his wife, Buddy and Mary Nix of Lyerly; a son Hilton Hart of Plant City, Florida; a daughter Penny Alterman; sons, Raymond King and William Grady King. Also surviving are 21 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren numerous Great Great Grandchildren, and Several Step Children.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2nd from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Dr. James Guy officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Shane Nix, David Vogel, Mike Busby, Frank Mikovits, Joe Mikovits, Casey King and Cody Nix.
