Ms. Jessie Kate Payne Prewett, age 100, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was born on October 2, 1912 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry and Lela Belle Hendon Payne.

Ms. Prewett is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Annette Ledford and Bobby; nephew Morris Cox (Mary Lou); two grandchildren, Leland Ledford (Kim) and Evan Ledford and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Carson and Daniel.

Ms. Prewett is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert S. Prewett; sisters, Lillie Payne, Beulah Payne, Artie Payne and Emily Payne Cox and brother, Howard Payne.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Prewett will be conducted on Monday, March 25, 2013 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Sanders Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Prewett will receive family and friends on Monday, March 25, 2013 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
