Mr. Jerry Samples, age 72, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was born August 4, 1937 in Cedartown, the son of Wesley Hughes Samples and Mattie Sue Fordham Samples (both deceased).

Mr. Samples is also preceded in death by sister, Irene McDonald; brother, Barney Samples; grandson, Shane Fortune.

Mr. Samples is survived by children and their spouses, Anthony and Cindy Samples, Teresa and Gene English, Tammy and Darryl Chastain, Tracy and Jan Samples, Keith and Gloria Barber; sister, Marie Florence Samples; Grandchildren, Shane Fortune (deceased), Courtney Clifton, Brittany Gilbert, Cody Merritt, Tamika Young, Samantha Williams, Jeremy Hulsey, Crystal Stexarth, Wesley Samples, Cody Lumpkin, and Jeri Dawn Barber; nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service and interment for Mr. Jerry Samples will be conducted on Thursday, March 25th, at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Forrister officiating.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Jerry Samples.
