Mr. Jerry Lee Ponder, age 72, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. He was born on May 22, 1944. He was the son of the late Charlie and Pauline Cantrell Ponder.

Mr. Ponder is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Jason and Shelley Ponder and Jarrod and Rosa Ponder; daughter, Lori Armellino; sister, Ann Lewis (Ray); brother, Billie Ponder (Jane); grandchildren, Toby Armellino, Madison Ponder, Christian Ponder, Kenley Hann and Jarron Ponder and the love of his life and caregiver, Ms. Sue Yarbrough.

Mr. Ponder is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rance Ponder.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Jerry Lee Ponder will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2017 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel at the Gammage Funeral Home with Brother Edward Lackey officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Ponder will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ken Woods, Barry Bentley, Steve Fetkenhour, Johnny Mooney, Van Dingler and Bill Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Lewis and D.R. Baldwin.
