Mr. Jerry Wayne Pollard, age 51, of Visalia, California, passed away suddenly March 2, 2009 in Visalia. He was born June 7, 1957 in Cedartown, Georgia, graduating from Cedartown High School in 1976.

Jerry loved nature, being outdoors and working with flowers in many ways from landscape design, to touring botanical gardens across the United States, to gardening, to creating beautiful silk and live floral arrangements. Jerry had a caring giving heart always with a warm smile, and a glowing personality that touched and was loved by many, many friends and family. He was down to earth, grounded in his faith in God with a solid ethic around all that he did.

Mr. Jerry Pollard was a loving member of a large and loving family always providing a positive role model and influence. His loving family surviving is partner, Bob Koegler of Visalia, CA; mother, Willie Gilley of Cedartown; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Pollard and Mary Jane; brother, David Pollard; sisters-in-law, Beth Lang and husband, David and Robin Augustine and husband, Mike. Also surviving are Nephews, Jason Pollard, David Lynn Pollard, Dalton Pollard, Brandon Augustine, Blake Augustine, Chad Lang, Sean Lang; nieces, Candy Jane Bryan husband, Jamie and Samantha Augustine; great-nephews, Patrick Bryan, Nathan Bryan, J. T. Hampton, Clifford Hampton; great-niece, Janea Bryan.

He is preceded in death by father, Felton Pollard; sister, Deborah Hampton, and niece, Brandy Hampton.

The funeral will be conducted on Monday, March 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home in Cedartown. Interment will follow in Borden Springs church of Christ Cemetery in Alabama.

The family will receive friends on Saturday and Sunday, March 7th and 8th, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. each night at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
