Mr. Jerry Lewis McDonald, age 76 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015. He was born on March 10, 1939 in Rockmart, Ga. He is the son of Sarah Grace Harrison McDonald and the late Samuel Ed McDonald.
Mr. McDonald lived all his life in Polk County, graduating from Cedartown High School in 1958. He worked and retired from the Insurance Industry. He was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1980. Everyone that knew Jerry knows that he loved to tell a joke.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Mrs. Marian Zannino McDonald; mother, Sarah Grace Harrison McDonald; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Tammy McDonald; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Branch and Linda and Chuck Walley; grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Wilkes, Callie McDonald, and Matthew and Brenda McDonald; and great-grandson, Carson McDonald. One niece and several nephews also survive.
Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Carol McDonald.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. McDonald was cremated. The memorial service for Mr. McDonald will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at one o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home with Mr. Craig McDonald and Mr. Ray Hill officiating
The family of Mr. McDonald will receive family and friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from six o'clock till eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The family of Mr. McDonald is accepting flowers however memorial donations may be made to charity of your choice in his honor.
