Mr. James Buford Watson, age 85 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born on May 4, 1929 in Cedartown. He was the son of the late Mr. Tobe "Thomas" G. Watson and Mrs. Icila Ledford Watson.

Mr. Watson is survived by his sons, Keith Watson and Sammy Watson; daughter, Crystal Star Watson Culberson; step-sons, Donald Adams and Michael Adams; step-daughter, Melinda Ploof; brother, Jerry Watson; sisters, Nell Watson Short and Nancy Watson Lee; sister-in-law, Geraldine Addison; grandchildren, Evan Adams, Justin Adams, Nina Allen, Aaron Tubb, Caleb Ploof, Levi Ploof, Katrina Ploof, Kasey Watson, Kye Watson and Matt Watson and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Sue Hardin Watson; brother, Jack Watson and step-daughter, Melissa Tubb.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Watson will be conducted on Friday, August 1, 2014 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel A. Smith and Rev. Kye Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Honor Guard Post #86.

The family of Mr. Watson will receive family and friends on Friday, August 1, 2014 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Caleb Ploof, Aaron Tubb, Evan Adams, Rick Tubb, Dee Pruitt, and Matt Watson.
