Mr. James Elbert Timms, age 82 of Felton, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1935 in Harrison County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Chet Timms and Addie Brown Timms.

Mr. Timms is survived by his daughter, Jackie Timms; sons, Steve Timms (Karen) and Robert Timms; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Timms is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Beal Timms; sons, James Timms and Billy Timms and several sisters and brothers.

In keeping with Mr. Timms' wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. James Elbert Timms will be conducted on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Timms officiating.

The family of Mr. Timms will receive family and friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
