Obituary

Mr. James Norman "Ted" Broadaway, age 85, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was born on September 15, 1930, in Polk County, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Edward "Joe" and Myrtle Norman Broadaway.

Mr. Broadaway is survived by his wife, Texieann Hebb Broadaway; daughters and son-in-laws, Carol Marie Golden, Jane Williams and Stanley, Connie Bradshaw and Larry, and Jennifer Jones Harmison and Noel; sons and daughter-in-law, Tod Broadway, and Jonathan Jones and Lisa; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Broadaway is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Jo Palmer Broadaway; sister, Marion Colman and brother, William Broadaway.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. James Norman "Ted" Broadaway will be conducted on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at three o'clock in the afternoon at the Cedartown Church of God with Rev. John Moates officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Masonic Rites conducted by the Caledonia Lodge #121 and Full Military Rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post #86.

The family of Mr. Broadaway will receive family and friends on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from five o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home. The body will lie in state on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Cedartown Church of God.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers are to be omitted and memorial donations can be made to The Cedartown Church of God Family Life Center Building Fund, 448 West Avenue, Cedartown, Georgia 30125 or a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Timmy Golden, Travis Golden, Thad Golden, Daniel Jones, Britt Madden, Jr., Jeremy Broadway, Dustin Williams, and Luke Bradshaw.
