Mr. James Hulett Swafford, age 86 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  He was born on January 24, 1938 in Rome, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Hulett G.W. and Janie Teems Swafford.

Mr. Swafford is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Swafford; son, James Greggory Swafford; grandchildren, Dillon G. Swafford and Samantha Swafford and great-grandchildren, Kenzington Swafford, Landon Swafford, Hunter Swafford, Raegan William and Rylee Williams.

Mr. Swafford is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lettie Brown Swafford and daughter, Leigh Ann Swafford.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Swafford will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. A private family interment will follow after the service.

The family of Mr. Swafford will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations can be made to the US Humane Society.

The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers: Sammy Parnell, Buddy Winslett, Harold Swafford, Jimmy Minge, James Holder and David Bush.
