Mr. James Ralph Stephens, Jr., age 76, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. He was born on April 27, 1937 in Polk County. He was the son of the late James Ralph Stephens, Sr. and Argris Smith Stephens.

Mr. Stephens was a past Master of the Caledonia Lodge #121.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Sammy Stephens and Gayla; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Stephens Kelley and Alan; sisters, Janette Stephens and Nancy Nix; brothers, Earnest Stephens and Darrell Stephens; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cathy Pruitt Stephens; son, James Ralph Stephens III (Chip); daughter, Cynthia K. Stephens Brown; grandson, Joshua David Stephens; granddaughter, Bridgett Lea Brown; brothers, L.A. Stephens and Daniel Stephens and sister, Margaret Stephens.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Stephens will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Stephens, Rev. Darrell Stephens and Dr. DeWayne New officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Stephens will receive family and friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from twelve o'clock (noon) until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Brayden Stephens, Jake Addison, Shane Stephens, Cody Brown, Josh Bullard, Cliff Bullard, John Kelley, Judd Kelley, Michael Day and Cory Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Cedar Hill Senior Living Center.
