Obituary

Mr. James Garrett, age 67, of Rockmart, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2007. He was born June 28, 1940 in Polk County.

Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by his first wife, Mr. Donna Faye Garrett; parents, Mr. Everett Richardson Garrett and Mrs. Daisey Mae Jones Garrett; and sister, Mrs. Ann Coleman.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Judy Garrett; daughters, Jamie Pope, Renonda Wills, and Lisa Garrett; Son, Ricky Garrett; Step Daughter & Step Son, Kelly Barber and Mark Barber; Son-in-laws, Mike Hopper, John Pope; Sisters, Betty Brown, Carolynn Wallace, and Eva Garrett; Brother, Arthur Barrett, 14 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21 from
6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mr. James Garrett will be conducted on Sunday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with brother Jack Searles and Greg "Big Daddy" Dean officiating. The interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Jason "Bubba" Wills, Mike Hopper, Eddie Bevel, Tony Jamison, Ronnie Hutcheson, Darren "Dusty" Stowe, David Garrett, and John Pope.

Honorary pallbearers are Blaine Garrett and the Freedom Seekers.
