Mr. James "Ed" Ferguson, Age 77, of Cedartown, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005. He was born in Polk County on December 9, 1927. Mr. Ferguson was an Army World War II Veteran and was in the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Ferguson was a resident at Grey Field Apartments for 24 Years.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Haggar Mann and John Ferguson; and his Wife, Melba Smith.
Surviving, his Daughter, Brenda Johnson of Jonesboro, Two Granddaughters, Summer Costley and Haley Johnson, Two Great Granddaughters, Shelby Anderson and Maison Costley. Also surviving are Sister, Betty Hatch of Rome and Sister-in-Law, Carolyn Ferguson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12th from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Gammage Funeral Home.
The memorial service for Mr. James "Ed" Ferguson will be conducted on Sunday, June 12th at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens with full military rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post Number 86 Honor Guard. Following the Interment Service Mr. Ferguson's friends at the Gray Field Apartment Complex will have a reception for family and friends.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements for Mr. James "Ed" Ferguson.
