Mr. James Elmer Williams, age 77, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013. He was born on July 30, 1935 in Haralson, County. He retired from Goodyear Mills where he worked 42 years as a Weaver.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mattie Martin Williams; two sons, Keith and wife Kim Williams and Greg Williams; nine grandchildren, Brian Williams, Tyler Hood, Lauren Williams, Christian Williams, Brittany Lanning, Breanna Truett, Caitlin Williams, Madison Williams, Triston Williams, four great grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Emerson Williams, Kyla Trussell, and Chance Trussell, and one sister Dean Teems.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy & May Alexander Williams and 2 brothers .
The family of Mr. Williams will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Mr. James Elmer Williams will be conducted at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Sutton, Mark Byles, Clayton Wilbanks, Jeff Crawford, Frankie Hudgins, Ben Yeoman, Jerry Crane, and Dallas Folsom.
Flowers will be accepted and/or donations may be made in honor of Mr. James Elmer Williams to the American Diabetes Association.
