Mr. James Ralph "Chip" Stephens III, age 50, of Cedartown passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008. He was born March 25, 1958 in Polk County, Georgia. Mr. Stephens was a member of Second Baptist Church of Cedartown. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
Family members surviving are Wife, Cindy Stephens; Sons, Shane Stephens and Josh Bullard; Daughter, Emily Forsyth; Mother, Sherry Frazier Champion; Father, James Ralph Stephens, Jr.; Sisters, Cindy Brown and Valerie Kelly; Brother, Sammy Stephens. Two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He is preceded in death by his Son, Joshua David Stephens, Grandparents, Ralph Stephens Sr. and Argris S. Stephens, and Preston and Mildred B. Frazier.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mr. James Ralph "Chip" Stephens III will be conducted on Friday, July 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Stephens and Rev. Billy Frasier officiating. Interment service will follow in Northview Cemetery with Rev. Chester Pesnell and Rev. Patrick Latham officiating.
Pallbearers are David Hicks, David Nichols, Kevin Mosley, Tim McCarty, Corey Stephens, and Cody Brown.
