Mr. James Henry Champion, age 69, of Cedartown passed away on October 1, 2006. He was born on March 9, 1937 in Cobb County Georgia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hardy O. Champion and Lillie Williams Champion; sisters, Foye Champion and Martha Jean Champion; granddaughter, Bridget Brown; and grandson, Joshua David Stephens.
Mr. Champion is survived by his wife, Sherry Frazier Champion; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Billy Brown and Valerie and Alan Kelley; son, James Champion; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Patty Champion, Chip and Cindy Stephens and Sammy and Gayla Stephens; sister, Mary Frances Grisham and brother, Thomas H. Champion. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mr. James Henry Champion will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4th at 1:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Latham and Rev. Bill Heaton officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3rd from 7:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.
The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
