Mr. James Claude Bearden, age 74 of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016. He was born on June 14, 1941. He was the son of the late Thomas Claude Bearden and Earle Knight Bearden.

Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife Sheila Davenport Bearden; daughters, Tammy Smith, Andrea Andrews; sons, Tony Bearden, Michael Bearden, David Bearden, James Bearden, Jr.; Stepson, Jason Porter; sisters, Barbara Jean Miller, Frances Coon; brother, Richard Bearden; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Mr. Bearden is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Claudia Bearden; and two brothers, Raymond Bearden and Norman Bearden.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Bearden's body was cremated. A private service will be conducted by the family at a later date.

The family will receive family and friends at 14 Lovell Street N.E. in Rome, Georgia.
