Mr. James Elder Anderson, age 71, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1955, in Statesboro, Georgia, to the late Emerson Joseph Jasper Anderson and Helen Elder Anderson.

James dedicated many years of his life to his career and took pride in his work. He began his professional journey with Georgia Power before continuing his career with the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he faithfully served until his retirement.

Above all, James will be remembered as a beloved father and grandfather whose life and memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family. His greatest legacy lives on through those he loved and the memories they will cherish for years to come.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Audrey Anderson; and his three beloved grandchildren, Riley, Victoria, and Madden, who will carry his memory forward.

In accordance with the family's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
