Ms. Jacquelyne "Jackie" Merritt, age 89 of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Cedartown.

Ms. Merritt is survived by her daughter, Dianne Johnson; grandchild, Melissa Leigh Johnson Casey (Jeffrey); great-grandchildren, Erin Brianna Casey and Emma Danielle Casey and great-great-grandchild, Meridith Adaline Richards.

Ms. Merritt is preceded in death by her mother, Essie Morgan Hayth and husband, Omer Chester Merritt.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Merritt will be conducted on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Heaton and Dr. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Merritt will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; James Chandler, Cleve Hartley, David Bush, Jeff Casey, Wally Hindman, and George Wills; with Gary Hindman, Wayne Benson, and Ray Merritt serving as honorary pallbearers.
