Mrs. Jacklyne McCollum Powell, age 74, of Centre, Alabama, formerly of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She was born March 31, 1935 in Polk County to parents, Jessie Naomi and Thomas Davis McCollum.

She is preceded in death by parents, Thomas Davis McCollum and Jessie Naomi Galloway McCollum; brother, Danny McCollum.

Mrs. Jacklyne Powell is survived by husband, William Howell Powell, Sr.; daughter, Jena Elizabeth Powell; son, William Howell Powell, Jr.; sister, Janice McCollum Gunnell and husband, Raymond; brothers, Larry McCollum and wife, Chris, David McCollum and wife, Pat. Grandchildren, Alishia Delline Powell Massey, William Daniel Powell; great grand-children, Natali Delline Ocampo Powell, Hayden Daniel Powell, William Devin Powell also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Jacklyne Powell will be conducted on Thursday, April 16th, at twelve o'clock noon in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Locklear and Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jason Gunnell, Danny Powell, Wayne Tillmann, Joey Lee, Raymond Gunnell, Alishia Powell Massey.

Natalie Powell will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
