Mr. Jack Lowell Payne, age 76, of Cedartown passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 after an extended illness. He was born in Talladega County, Alabama on September 27, 1932.

Mr. Jack Payne is survived by wife, Mrs. Ann Robinson Payne; daughters, Donna Wilder, Deann Priest, Christie Robinson, Rita Ann Thompson, Gail Webb, and Deborah Heath; sister Betty Lowery; brothers, Jimmy Payne, Bobby Payne, Phillip Payne. Twenty-one grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren also survive.

He is preceded in death by parents, Russell Payne and Safronnie Tyler Patterson; son, Jack Lowell Payne, Jr. and brother, Joe Payne.

The funeral service for Mr. Jack Lowell Payne will be conducted on Thursday, April 9th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Dewayne New and Mr. Rick Wilder officiating. The interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
